Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and any work you hire E&J South Pasadena Spray Foam Insulation to do. When we say "we", "us" or "our crew", we mean the business. When we say "you", we mean the person using the site or hiring us.

By using this site, asking for a quote or scheduling work with us, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book a job, and feel free to call us at (626) 597-0202 with any questions first.

A written estimate or contract for your job may add terms of its own. If it conflicts with this page, the signed estimate or contract wins for that job.

What we do

We're an insulation contractor in South Pasadena, CA, and we work in homes and commercial buildings in South Pasadena and the cities around it. Our work includes spray foam, blown-in insulation, insulation removal, air sealing, which means closing the gaps where air leaks in before we insulate, and vapor barriers for crawl spaces and other areas. You can see the full list on our home page and learn more about the business on our About page.

What's on this website is general information to help you understand insulation work. It isn't a promise about your house, because every attic, wall and crawl space is different, and we only know what yours needs once we've seen it.

Estimates and pricing

We give free quotes on site, and asking for one doesn't commit you to anything. Your price depends on things like the size of the space, how much old insulation is already up there, whether old material has to come out first, how much air sealing the space needs, which material you pick and how easy the area is to reach.

An estimate is based on what we can see and reach during the visit. If we open up a wall, an attic or a crawl space and find something we couldn't see before, such as wet or damaged insulation, pest droppings, mold or framing problems, we'll stop, show you what we found and explain the extra cost before doing any more work. We won't do added work without your okay.

Unless your estimate says otherwise, a quote is good for a limited time, and we may need to update it if material costs or the job's conditions change before work starts.

Scheduling, access and cancellation

We'll set a start date with you once you approve the estimate. Weather, material deliveries, earlier jobs running long or what we find once the space is open can push a date, and if that happens we'll tell you as early as we can.

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area on the scheduled day and to clear stored items from the attic, garage or crawl space as we ask. On some jobs, especially spray foam, you, your family and your pets will need to stay out of the house or the work area until the re-entry time we give you, which is when it's safe to come back. We'll tell you that time before the job so you can plan around it.

If you need to cancel or move your appointment, please call or reach us through our Contact page as soon as you know. If you cancel after we've ordered special materials or after the crew has arrived, you may be charged for costs we can't get back, and your estimate will say if that applies.

Payment

The payment terms for your job, including any deposit, when the balance is due and the ways you can pay, are written on your estimate or contract. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is done.

If a payment is late, we may pause work, charge reasonable collection costs and use the remedies California law allows. If something about the job doesn't look right to you, tell us before you hold back payment so we can come out and sort it out.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something we installed isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right where the problem comes from our work. Any written warranty for your job, and any warranty from a material's maker, is spelled out in your paperwork.

Apart from what we put in writing, we don't make other promises, spoken or implied, about how your house will perform after the work. Insulation helps a house hold heat and cool air, but we can't promise a set drop in your power bill or a set indoor temperature, because those depend on your heating and cooling system, how you use the house and the weather.

Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from leaks, pests, storms, work by other people after we leave, changes you make to the insulated area, or problems in the house that existed before we started and weren't part of our job.

Limits on our liability

We're licensed and insured, and we stand behind the work we do. To the fullest extent California law allows, our total responsibility for any claim tied to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

We aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost rent, lost use of a room, hotel costs while you're out of the house, or damage from conditions we couldn't reasonably have seen. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that California law says can't be limited.

Using this website

We try to keep this site accurate, but it may have mistakes or out-of-date details, and we can change it at any time without notice. The site is offered as it is, and we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

The writing, photos and design on this site belong to E&J South Pasadena Spray Foam Insulation. Please don't copy them for business use without asking us first.

If we disagree

If you're unhappy with anything, call us at (626) 597-0202 or use our Contact page first. Most problems get fixed fastest when we can come out, look at the work together and talk it through.

If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try in good faith to reach a fair answer before going to court. Either of us can still bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies.

California law applies

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any court case about them will be handled in the courts that serve Los Angeles County, California.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page from time to time. The version posted here when you use the site or book a job is the one that applies, and the terms in a signed estimate or contract stay in place for that job.

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Questions about anything on this page can go to us by phone or through our Contact page, and we respond within 1 business day.
